Ingredients.
- 3 3/4 cup flour.
- 3 tablespoon butter, melted.
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- 1 tablespoon butter melted for brushing.
- 1 egg beaten.
- 1 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast.
- 3/4 cup lukewarm water.
- 1/2 cup buttermilk.
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar.
- 1/4 cup superfine sugar.
- 1/8 cup milk.
Cooking instructions.
- Prepare a large bowl, then add water, yeast, and sugar, stirring until combined using a whisk attachment. Once combined, leave the dough for five to ten minutes.
- In another place, preheat your oven to 200°F and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Add the eggs, three tablespoons of butter, buttermilk, vanilla, and salt to the mixing bowl, whisk together.
- Next, slowly add the flour and mix well until your dough comes off the bowl. The dough's going to get a little sticky in here.
- Prepare a large bowl, grease with a little oil, then pour your dough into it.
- Next, turn off the preheated oven. Place your bowl in the oven for fifteen minutes with the door slightly open. This is a way to speed up the baking process. Instead of hours or overnight waiting for the dough to expand, this is a shorter way.
- After a few minutes, remove your bowl from the oven, then reheat your oven to the same temperature as the beginning.
- Roll your dough to 1/4 inch thickness using a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface. Cut into squares 1 1/2 or 2 inches of your dough with a pizza cutter.
- Turn off your oven again, then place the donut dough on a baking sheet. Also, cover your baking sheet with plastic wrap. Next, place the baking sheet in a preheated oven with the door slightly open, leaving for half an hour.
- Remove your dough from the oven, brush with milk on top. Reheat your oven until it reaches 375°F.
